In this video Sony Education Ambassador Andy Losik shows some of his fifth graders hard at work and having lots of fun learning seventeen different professional camera angles. Five groups of students are all handled a different device. The Sony Bloggie and Xperia tablet are among those in play. The overall goal is not to create Hollywood masterpieces but to gain tech literacy with many different devices and platforms.
The online guide and shot sheet the students are using is the original work of Minarets High School (CA)'s Jon Corippo's students and can be accessed here at MrLosik.blogspot.com.
When shooting is completed, students using the Xperia tablet will assemble and edit clips on the built-in Android Movie Studio app. Students using the bloggie will use Apple's iMovie to assemble their clips on the classroom MacBooks.
Sony's Education Ambassadors volunteer their time and knowledge to Sony in the pursuit of helping educators adapt to new technology in the classroom. Each SEA member was provided a Sony Xperia™ Tablet to evaluate, to help them better understand the device’s features.
